Stack Industrial Partners: A New Chapter in Industrial Real Estate Expertise

Last week marked a major milestone for our team as we officially launched Stack Industrial Partners, a new specialty firm built entirely around one mission: delivering unmatched focus and expertise to industrial users across the Twin Cities and beyond.

After more than a decade working within a larger national platform, my partners — Chris Weirens, Nate Erickson, and Ben Youds — and I recognized a clear opportunity. Industrial clients deserve a firm that lives and breathes their world every single day. Manufacturers, logistics companies, life-science operators, 3PL providers, food processors — these businesses are making, moving, and innovating. They need advisors who specialize exclusively in the spaces that power their operations.

Together, our team brings 50+ years of combined experience and a shared philosophy: industrial real estate is relationship-driven, and clients get the best results when senior-level experts lead every step of the process.

In my recent interview with Finance & Commerce, I had the chance to share why we made this leap, what makes Stack different, and where we’re headed next. Here’s a deeper look at what we’re building.

Why We Launched Stack Industrial Partners

For years, we operated like a “business within a business.” We had our own processes, our own approach, and a shared desire to build something more intentional — a brand and platform fully aligned with our vision.

We saw a clear gap in the Twin Cities market: no firm focused solely on industrial. Clients told us repeatedly they wanted advisors who were laser-focused on their world. Stack exists to fill that void with a dedicated industrial-only platform designed around their needs.

A Team Built on Industrial Expertise

Our team’s foundation comes from years of hands-on involvement in every corner of the industrial landscape. From tenant representation to site selection, from expansions to dispositions, we’ve built a track record of solving real-world challenges for companies that make, store, and move products every day.

And importantly, everything our firm produces is led by senior professionals — not handed off, not diluted, not lost in the shuffle of a large corporate structure. Clients get deep market knowledge, sharp execution, and a team who has worked together seamlessly for years.

What Stack Industrial Partners Offers

Industrial real estate is not a side practice for us — it’s our entire focus. That specialization allows us to support clients through every phase of their operations, including:

  • Industrial tenant representation
  • Lease expiration strategy and planning
  • Site selection and facility expansion
  • Buying and selling industrial property
  • Disposition of former facilities
  • Portfolio and long-term planning

Whether a company is outgrowing its space, approaching a lease expiration, evaluating build-to-suit options, or looking to sell a facility, we bring the insights only a dedicated specialty firm can provide.

Supporting Industrial Clients Through Every Stage

Today’s industrial users face increasingly complex operational needs — tight labor markets, evolving supply chains, cost pressures, and demand for modern space. We help clients navigate these challenges by aligning real estate with operational strategy.

3PL providers, manufacturers, life sciences companies, logistics users — each has unique requirements. Our job is to help translate those requirements into smart real estate decisions that position them for long-term success.

The Challenges of Building a New Industrial Brokerage

Launching a new firm comes with its own unique challenges. The biggest one? Introducing a new name to the market. Clients who have known us for years as part of a larger organization are adjusting to new branding, new emails, and a new identity under Stack Industrial Partners.

But because of our long-standing relationships and consistent team structure, the transition has been incredibly smooth. We hit the ground running on day one — and haven’t looked back.

Our Vision for the Next 12 Months

We’re not here to simply recreate what we’ve done in the past. We’re building something bigger, sharper, and designed for the next generation of industrial real estate.

Our goals over the next year include:

  • Ensuring a seamless, disruption-free transition for all clients
  • Expanding our capabilities, tools, and advisory resources
  • Thoughtfully growing the team with like-minded talent
  • Investing heavily back into our clients and their needs

Simply put: we’re experienced, energized, and incredibly motivated to deliver even greater value as a specialty industrial firm.

Why Companies Choose a Specialized Industrial Firm

Competition in our market is strong, and we have tremendous respect for the larger firms operating in the Twin Cities. But the clients we work with value one thing above all: experience paired with hunger.

We’re senior enough to bring decades of industry knowledge to the table — but still hungry enough to work relentlessly on our clients’ behalf. We’re aligned, focused, and moving in one direction: creating the most responsive, knowledgeable, and dedicated industrial real estate firm in the market.
